There were external speakers for this purpose. The source of the b reakdown was that they were not set up in the appropriate location.

To clarify that point, there was a cable in the room to connect laptops to the TV but no audio cable. It’s not that the TV’s speakers were inadequate: it’s that we couldn’t use them AT ALL when showing vids off of a laptop instead of off of a DVD. Someone went to get their own cable, but it wasn’t compatible with the tv (due to the age of the tv?).

To clarify re: fanworks auction and fundraising, I have never actually been involved in any of these personally. I’m just aware that they happen, and that they seem to be fun for participants and presumably effective for fundraising. So, I don’t actually know all that much about how one might work as an effort to raise Escapade scholarship funds, but I would certainly be happy to help figure it out if it seems like a viable idea for Escapade.

To clarify: My browser has been set to “Allow all sites to run JavaScript” for years, and the /schedule page *still* doesn’t work for me. However, the direct link does work for me. Thanks.

I’m not sure if you still need alternates but I’d be willing to run/host a DCU or Marvel comics panel. It seemed odd that with all the Avengers stories being posted that there isn’t one panel for Avengers/Thor/Captain America/Iron Man…
